RP60 - Options


In addition to the basic RP60 controller, several options are available.

Voice Messaging

The RP60 is available with a voice storage add-on, up to 4 minutes if voice can be stored, this can be used as a mail box with fixed lenght message storage times, or a an announcment system again with up to 100 preset messages triggered from either a serial interface message, a selective call, or a DTMF code received.

Recording the messages can be done on air or via the serial interface and audio input to the RP60

Selective Calling Modem

The RP60 can act as a high reliability selective call modem, it can handle up to 12 encode and 8+ status decode in all popular tone groups and tone periods, the RP60 can also handle two and three sequence selective calling.

Control is by serial RS232 interface.

I/O Expander

When used as eithr a voice messaging unit or selective call modem the RP60 has a limited I/O capability - typically COR and AUX inputs and PTT and AUX outputs. The I/O expander allows the RP60 to read and control 12 extra input/output lines, with a front panel display of status. Each output line can sink 500mA, and can be programmed to operate in permantly on/off or pulsed mode. If configured as an input each line can have programmable debouce period with active high or low phases - inputs upto 30V DC can be tolerated with no damage resulting.
